ok, now I know the country where it was taken -- but I mean, what is this building? how did it get so run down? why was it abandoned.

Brief history: built in 1937, 1998 German occupation, 1945 rebuilt after occupation, 1989 bad economical situation in Poland (93% of factory profits went to state, only 7% for factory purpose), closed in 1995.

its incredible what time and circumstance can do. The Grand Canyon used to be at the bottom of an ocean!
